The text message is from ciumegu9@b.tmsg8.com. The text message is alleged to be from Black Hills Federal Credit Union and states that your “Visa check” has been deactivated. A contact number is provided to re-activate your card. Verification with the Black Hills Federal Credit Union has been made and it was determined this is a scam. Do not call the number provided in the message for verification. Never release personal or bank account information to an unknown person. Investigators with the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office will continue working with the Black Hills Federal Credit Union to try and determined the origin of the text message. Lt.
