Update on the search for the missing Schade family from Knox County, Nebraska:

The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office received a telephone call from the Knox County 
Sheriff’s Office this morning with more information related to the whereabouts of the Schade 
family.  The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has received information that the stolen Silver City 
brush truck has been abandoned in Antelope County, Nebraska.  Authorities in that area are 
actively searching for the stolen brush truck.  The Knox County Sheriff’s Office believes the 
Schade family used the stolen brush truck to return to the Knox County area. 

The investigation clearly shows the Shade family is no longer in the Black Hills area and all 
search efforts in the Black Hills have been cancelled at this time.  

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is urging Matthew and Rowena to contact authorities 
immediately to resolve the situation.  

Further information is expected to be available later this morning and will be sent out in a new 
release at that time.
