Pennington County Medical and Mental Health

A Registered Nurse is on-site 24 hours a day 7 days a week for medical attention. In addition, a Physician's Contract provides clinics twice a week for inmates. Also a Dentist's contract is in place for dental care.

The Mental Health Contract provides for a Master's level counselor to be at the facility 40 hours per week, with the provision of 24 hour on-call service as needed, to address confinement and coping skills. Additionally, the Mental Health Contract is with the Core Services Provider in the area and allows extended services with psychologists and psychiatrists, as needed.
