Josh Kraft

Employee of the Month - July 2010

Josh has been employed with the Western SD Juvenile Services Center since September 19, 2005.

Josh was selected as Employee of the Month based on the following nomination:

I would like to nominate Corporal Josh Kraft for employee of the month. His overall supervisory skills alone are well worth the nomination.  When I am acting Supervisor he is always thinking outside of the box to help make the facility operations run as safely and positive as possible.  He has excellent proactive thinking skills.  He has assisted with helping me complete my annual evaluations/monthly contacts within the set deadlines.  He continually works on his physical fitness to insure he is always fit for duty.  He takes pride in his position as Corporal.  His intakes are complete and accurate.  He does not hesitate to ask questions when needed and accepts constructive criticism very well.

He is always open to new change and acts upon them when established and helps other adjust to the new changes.   He is always willing to work overtime when needed. He takes the time to engage himself with detainee programming or just visiting with the detainees.  He encouraged staff to be prepared for the upcoming agility test organizing a voluntary weight loss program. Overall 5 staff lost a total of over 100lbs.  Thanks Josh for your hard work and dedication to WSDJSC.  the new changes.   He is always willing to work overtime when needed.
