Question: My family member or friend needs to get into treatment. What do I do?
The state of South Dakota requires an Alcohol and Drug Evaluation before entering into a program. The person needing
to get into treatment must come to our office to make an appointment for the evaluation. By the end of the evaluation,
the counselor will recommend appropriate services. If it is recommended to attend City/County Alcohol and Drug Programs,
the Treatment and Continued Care Coordinator will contact the client to set up a treatment start date. Before a start
date can be given, a current skin TB test would be required.
