Pennington County Sheriff's Office Patrol Car

Pennington County's Classic Patrol Car

The Sheriff's Office Reserve Deputy Program donated many hours to The Counts of the Cobblestone Car Club by providing escorts to them for their car shows and rod runs in the Black Hills area. To show their appreciation for the support given to them by the Reserves throughout the years, the Counts of the Cobblestone decided to restore an old vehicle for the Sheriff's Office. Diversified Auto donated a 1948 Pontiac Silver Streak to the Counts of the Cobblestone who in turn donated it to the Sheriff's Office. In January, 1999, The Counts of the Cobblestone began to restore the vehicle. By the following year, the vehicle was 90% complete and was able to be driven. As you can see by the specifications and donation list below, this project was made possible by the generous donations of time, money and equipment by many local citizens and businesses. The hot rod is used for all types of events including parades and car shows.

Please e-mail if your club or organization would like information on how to schedule this vehicle for your event.

PROJECT: COP CAR

This is a joint project of the Counts of the Cobblestone Car Club, Pennington County Sheriff's Office, many area businesses and private individuals. The black and white cruiser will be used by the Pennington County Sheriff's Office for area special events and educational purposes.
