Housing classification for the Pennington County Jail includes Maximum Security, Medium Security,
Minimum Security, Special Management, and the Work Release Facility. Classification is determined by
the review of many factors, including but not limited to: mental and emotional stability, escape history,
history of assaultive behavior, medical status, age, and charge history. Housing assignments are made
per the Pennington County Jail Policies and Procedures. |
