A Brulé Lakota, Spotted Tail was a strong voice for his people the Sicangus in their dealings with the
United States. An honored warrior among his people, he was one of the leaders who signed
the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868. He worked tirelessly in the best interests of his people.
